
Supporting women in football
As we approach the new season we are looking to expand the team at LCL Kent PDP. One of the key objectives throughout the main club and the Player Development Programme is to expand the participation of women and girls in all forms of football.
Of course, this primarily focuses on players and we have expanded the number of teams and players that are members of the PDP to 4 teams and 65 girls.
It also looks at how we can develop coaches and referees. With this in mind we will be recruiting for the following positions at the club:
Team coach
Minimum FA Level 2 – starting UEFA B
Valid FA CRC required
2 nights a week training for 2 hours per night
1 game a week
Female coach preferred but not essential
Fully paid position
The coach will be responsible for the training and development of one of our teams that play in the Junior Premier League. They will be provided full support from above via our highly experienced UEFA A level Technical Director.
Goalkeeper coach
Minimum FA Level 2 in Goalkeeping
Valid FA CRC required
2 nights a week training for 2 hours per night
Female coach preferred but not essential
Fully paid position
The coach will be responsible for the training and development of all of the youth goalkeepers at the PDP. Looking after age groups from Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 level. They will be provided full support from above via our highly experienced UEFA A level Technical Director.
Assistant coaches
Minimum FA Level 1 – looking to complete their FA level 2 coaching qualification
Valid FA CRC required
2 nights a week training for 2 hours per night
1 game a week
Female coaches preferred but not essential
Unpaid position but financial support for qualification courses provided
We are looking for an assistant coach for each of our four teams (Under 12, 14, 16, 18). Each coach will be provided guidance from above by our UEFA A Technical Director and also from the team coach who will be a minimum of UEFA B qualified.
Club referees
Minimum level 7
Valid FA CRC required
FA Safeguarding
Female referees preferred but not essential
Paid position in line with KentFA/League suggested levels.
We are looking for 2 to 3 club referees to be available on a Saturday (3 teams in the JPL) playing home games at K Sports or Sunday morning (1 Under 12 team in the East Kent Youth Football League) playing home games at The Sittingbourne School.
